Birding Blitz, May 7, 2022

In place of our traditional KOS Spring Field Trips we held a one day "birding blitz", challenging birders to visit as many Kansas Counties as possible. We then ended the day with a Zoom social hour where about two dozen participants swapped stories of the day and shared their best, or favorite, sightings of the day. While we only managed to get about 1/3 of the counties covered, we did manage to collectively see 209 species on May 7th.
