Second year (SY) male Indigo Bunting (Passerina cyanea) mistnetted and banded on Ft. Riley KS (39.162° N, 96.810° W)

This second-year bird shows a typical molt limit within the secondaries, and the typical retained brownish, pointed primary coverts contrasting nicely with the cyan-trimmed black secondary coverts. It would be nice if all birds were as easy to age!
